Some discussion from our recent neighborhood meeting

May 4, 2010

Last Saturday, I invited members of the precinct to come to a neighborhood meeting to discuss the Republican candidates for Senator. Only 2 of the 3 State delegates were able to attend, so the following discussion will be based on my (Jamee’s) and Keri’s experiences with the candidates as well as impressions from precinct members.

The top two from our discussion were Tim Bridgewater and Mike Lee (in that order). Our 3rd delegate is a big supporter of Cherilyn Eager, so I anticipate he will vote for her, but since he was unable to attend, we weren’t able to hear his viewpoint.  Both Keri and I are in favor of Tim Bridgewater. I will be very pleased if either (or both) Bridgewater and Lee beat Bennett out of the primary.

County Candidates Meet and Mingle and Debates – April 6

April 8, 2010

I attended the Utah County Meet and Mingle for all the candidates running for Utah County office as well as the County Commissioner Debate between Joel Wright and Gary Anderson. As a Precinct Chair, I am both a state and county delegate, so I am attending as many meetings and debates as I can. I’m going to make a quick list of the people I met and the position for which they are running- and my general impressions.
